Material
recovery

Industrial streams contain mixed materials whose value remains untapped as long as they are not separated. Valo designs and operates treatment lines that isolate each fraction, qualify it and reinject it into production channels.

For a company, this approach acts on several levers at once

Economic value

A residual material that used to be a management cost becomes a financially recoverable resource.

Environmental impact

Local treatment and direct reinjection into production channels reduce CO₂ emissions and measurably improve the carbon footprint.

Responsibility and traceability

Every stream is documented and treated in short circuits, without relying on foreign channels whose traceability is hard to guarantee.

Circularity and strategic resources

Treated materials stay within the local industrial fabric, helping secure resources whose long-term availability is a growing concern.

Expertise

Our treatment lines

Each line is custom-designed according to the characteristics of the incoming stream and the recovery objectives.

Case in practice

A dedicated line, custom-built

Geberit, a manufacturer of sanitary systems, faced a recurring problem: no treatment solution existed for its production waste within an acceptable radius. The only available option was export to distant foreign channels, with no real material recovery, only thermal.

In partnership, Valo developed a dedicated treatment line that delivers both economic and environmental value: the treated materials are fed directly back into the production circuit, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and removing the dependence on distant channels. The environmental gains of this process were quantified through a life cycle assessment (LCA).

This model, custom-designed, locally operated and circularity-driven, can be replicated and adapted to other industrial streams.

The Geberit LCA, on request

The environmental gains of the dedicated Geberit line were quantified through a full life cycle assessment (LCA), carried out with our partners.

This document contains client data: it is shared on request only, subject to Geberit's approval. Fill in the form and we will get back to you.
